Julia Sarasola is a certified interior decorator, feng shui practitioner, and vintage shop owner based in the NY Metro Area. She began her career twelve years ago in art direction –ranging from lifestyle and wardrobe styling, design, and product production to social and editorial strategies for fashion guru Clinton Kelly. After a few years as a freelance design and styling consultant, she found her talents excelled in producing and designing experiential events, interiors, and environments for renowned international brands. These included the likes of New Balance, Salvatore Ferragamo, SoFi, Goop, Moda Operandi, Wall Street Journal, and Elle Magazine, to name a few.
As of late, her interior decorating and feng shui offerings have attracted both residential and commercial clients alike. Julia’s design approach is focused on creating thoughtful physical spaces that breathe and evolve with the client – deeply tuning into the environment and the energy that comes along with it. Her shop, Surface & Shape, came from an appreciation for expertly crafted vintage furniture and a desire to deliver stylish yet sustainable home decor.
Julia is also an alumni spokesperson for the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and the Co-Founder of Shine On in Schools, an NGO that brings movement and mindfulness workshops to New York City public schools.
